| "Eng LMX 3404 Works Extra" west on "the old eastward" track! Most people do NOT think that way any more because it has been many years now, since this was double track. You can see the rail joints on the siding which was once the westward track. This track has lots of fast moving trains and it is very well maintained. Perhaps because it is also the route for Amtrak's "Empire Builder". But still change does NOT come easy for those of us, who saw and remember "the Glory of that which once was"! |
