The past and the present! The Old Milwaukee main is still there even if it is not now double track. The Passenger trains still run each way every day, even if it is now Amtrak. The Amish farms and their horses are still here pulling their buggys and their farm equipment. The CNW trains to and from Winona are also still here 4 times a week, that is 2 days each way. And the old CNW right of way is also still here, but it is now known as the La Crosse River trail. It is used by hikers, bicycles, and snow mobiles! And as for the local, if you like the older EMD non-computerized, not so high horsepower engines, while they are also still here.
