Title:  Life in Amish Country
Description:  Amtk 7 is on the siding proceeding west on the old westbound track at Bangor East. The block is now dark and the Amish are heading north on County Road "J". Soon the farmers will be planting corn and soybeans, leaving me with "nothing to do" but sit around and watch it grow! Life here in the river valley is nice and as a retired BN dispatcher, I can say that this is the best job that I have ever had!

Description:  a short "Empire Builder" heads east across Wisconsin. Because of last winter's heavy snow and the high water which caused the spring floods in North Dakota, the "Empire Builder" stopped running west of Minneapolis/ St Paul.

Description:  As if we had our own train, the "chief stock holder" and one of his VPs inspect the line for high water after the recent heavy rains that followed a long winter and the melting of heavy snow. The company photographer took time from her busy schedule to record our passing, thanks Beth!
