the workers did the work and everybody left everybody--- including me alone! People had respect for others and it was clear to everyone, who the officials were and where they were! It was not like the "weed weasels and snakes in the grass" that there are today, who sit off in the background listening to the radio, perhaps with their feet on the desk! The guy on the right by the water tender with the long coat and hat looks like someone that I could respect for that which he was! Someone who really cared about how things were going and could actually do something to help the men when they needed help!
