the Soo Line had several classes of depots, this is a good example of their standard First class depot. I believe that the standard Second class depot had living quarters upstairs for the operator where as the First class depot did not. Moose Lake was a junction where the line from Duluth/ Superior to the Twin Cities split off and went to Glenwood. From there it went northwest to the CP connection at Portal and the grain fields of North Dakota and Manitoba. |
